After graduating from Northumbria University I had the opportunity to perform as an actor with some small theatre companies and in Theatre in Education with Cragrats, Bellyrub, Lobster Productions and The Panto Company.
I am keen to work in areas that increase social engagement and the companies I worked for delivered plays tackling subjects such as bullying, sexual health and education.
I regularly worked for The University law department using role play to develop a character and be cross examined on the stand. (This was as nerve wracking and fun as it sounds)
I wrote sketches, songs and performed with Bellyrub Comedy ensemble based in Newcastle. I have performed in some shoestring budget music videos (see Right)
I’m interested in using acting, singing, improvisation and storytelling in my current work and exploring how this could be used to engage community groups and affect social change.
